Grindr Underground Conference

Event Book Design and Deliverables

Project Description

Implore a rough rustic ripped style that reflected the discreet club nature of Grindr and provide a grunge underground aesthetic appearance that complimented the variety of the materials.

The intention of the project was to create a conference book and deliverables for a business. The deliverables created were name badges, admission tickets, contact information badges, and “tribe” keychains that are handed out to pre-registered guests.

The name badges featured a working QR code that served as admission into the event and their contact info for inside. Worker badges have QR codes as well that detail the event and more information about the business itself. Guests are given the option to choose their “tribe” upon RSVP for the event and are given their answer as a laser cut acrylic keychain upon entry. Each tag features a pattern that reflects the tribe.

Energetic and bold typography were utilized in order to reflect the atmosphere of the app itself and the users. Vivid warm tones were utilized in order to create intensity. Various rough textures and torn paper was applied to further create the overall grunge design of the project.
